We had an amazing stay here with Ruwan and his team. We spent a lot of time talking with them in the evenings and enjoying live music played by Dhilip. They are all very nice people. When we first arrived, we had planned mostly just to stay at Visu Villa and arrange food and restaurants separately. But instead we ended up arranging all the activities with Ruwan and we ate breakfast and dinner at Visu Villa every single day. The food was excellent and all of the tours arranged by Ruwan were very enjoyable and at a good price. Stay here and do not be shy to get to know Ruwan and his team, and you will have an amazing time! Thank you machan!

We spent 4 nights at Ruwan's place and it was great. Ruwan went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The breakfasts were delicious and different every day. The dinners fresh and tasty...and there was ample food. He also organized trips for us which were wonderful and affordable. Thanks again for spending time with us and giving us interesting insights into Sri Lankan life.

Really friendly and helpful. One stand out moment was when I forgot my binoculars and they raced to the train station with them for me. You can walk along the road to other restaurants, but it is not really a pleasant walk. Best to order a tuktuk. They arranged bird watching walks and elephant safaris for us, along with trips to Polonarua and Sigiria. Prices were reasonable and they were really helpful and attentive. One member of staff drove too fast and dangerously, and also chased the elephants rather than allowing them to approach. I'd advise making your expectations clear in advance. The main host Ruwan was really helpful, and Dhilip was really knowledgeable about birds and pointed out many things we wouldn't have seen. Great views of birds and monkeys from the seating areas. Comfy seats and restaurant area. The rooms were nice with a big shared lobby. We left feeling like we'd had a great time for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Wir hatten unvergessliche Tage bei Ruwan in der VISU Villa. Der Standort ist perfekt für einige Ausflüge, wir empfehlen ein paar Tage zu bleiben. Our stay at Visu Villa was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. Ruwan, the host, was incredibly welcoming and genuine, offering excellent recommendations for places to visit at reasonable prices. We spent three nights at this charming, family-run oasis located about a kilometer outside of Habarana. Ruwan and his sister made us feel right at home and seamlessly organized activities for us throughout our stay. We participated in almost all the activities he suggested, such as going on a safari, watching the sunset from a rock near Sigiriya Rock, and even had the opportunity to drive the jeep ourselves. Ruwan also gave us a personal tour around town, sharing fascinating insights into the history and culture of Habarana and Sri Lanka. He arranged a private show just for the two of us, where his friend performed some wonderful songs. The food was incredibly tasty and authentically spicy, and the hotel was clean and beautiful, featuring a lovely pool and comfortable rooms. If you're looking for a place to relax and let someone else handle the planning, Visu Villa is perfect. We have been travelling for 6 months and we can honestly say this is the best place we have stayed! The staff could not do more to make sure our stay was exceptional, they picked us up from train station and dropped us in town whenever we needed you get a bus (even chasing a bus down to make sure we got on it 😂). Great local recommendations of a cultural show which they also ferried us to and from, then theres the safari. What an awesome experience, they have their own safari truck for a very reasonable price which was took us to where all the elephants were, driver was super friendly and knowledgable and their park recommendation saved us some money on entry fees too! The swimming pool was tucked away, peaceful and the perfect temperature, and the food and drink was delicious. Whilst we were there they had a family event at the hosts house which they invited all the guests to so we could all share in the food and drink. Has the service of a 5* hotel but with the personal touch of a family and friends run home stay.

C’était TOP! Deux jours de folie grâce à Isuru et Ruwan. Premièrement l’hôtel est super : piscine très agréable, chambre spacieuse avec Clim. On peut voir des singes dans les arbres le matin et le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Deuxièmement ils peuvent tout organiser et font en sorte de sortir des sentiers touristes pour fournir une expérience unique. Je ne peux que recommander! MERCi!

Excellent place to stay. The outside area is amazing 😍 the rooms are nice but it was the service that really got me, our host was so lovely he was running around cooking us food and serving us beer, letting us try local cocktails all with a smile.
